Hewletts Mill is set in 3 acres of both formal and informal gardens with various waterways and ponds. One of the highlights is the hydropower waterwheel situated at the rear of the 18th Century Mill house which the owner installed in 2009. There are lots of mature herbaceous borders, neatly mown lawns and an array of mature trees. The extensive vegetable garden is burgeoning with veg and herbs from May – September. Adjoining the gardens is a 4 acre paddock with the Mill race starting at the far end of the property; just across the stream is a newly planted cider apple orchard.

There are lots of leafy winding lanes to walk along including Corkscrew Lane at the very bottom end of the property and many footpaths across the surrounding fields. Our favourite local pub, The Stag’s Head at Yarlington, is only a 20 minute walk across the fields. Well worth a visit!
